At Calder’s Kitchen, everything starts with family. A recipe that began in our own kitchen has grown into a much-loved brand known for its bold flavours, quality ingredients, and deep-rooted values.

Our story isn’t just about pickles and preserves – it’s about people, place, and partnerships. Our success has grown from a genuine love for local heritage, and a belief that great food has the power to connect communities and create memorable experiences.

From our earliest days at local farmers’ markets to national award recognition, our mission has remained the same: to bring authentic, artisan products to food lovers across the UK, while staying true to our roots.

We are hugely proud to be supplying our three best sellers, including Grandad Charlie’s Perfect Piccalilli through Cotswold Fayre this Christmas. Our Piccalilli offers a trip down memory lane, regularly described by customers as ‘The best we’ve ever tasted’ and ‘just like our grandma’s used to taste!’. Our Traditional Piccalilli was awarded a Great Taste 2-Star award in 2024 as well as a Great British Food award in 2021.

Our range of three lines also includes our sweet Chilli take on Grandad’s original  called Chillililli (Great Taste 2022, Farmshop & Deli Gold Prodcut award winner in 2024) and Sillylilli – our Indian Spiced (hot) Piccalilli, winner of Great Taste 2022, Farmshop & Deli Silver award in 2023 and Condiment World Cup winner in 2022.

“Simply The Best Piccalilli Ever!

No other piccalilli will do. Since sampling at Westmorland Show in 2023 it’s been a staple for me.”

“Outstanding!

Absolutely love this Piccalilli. It knocks spots of the brands you buy in the supermarkets.”

Why stock our products?

As well as the multiple awards our Piccalillis have won, everything we make is Gluten Free and Vegan friendly.

Sillylilli was the winner of the inaugural (and only ever!) condiment World Cup, finishing in first place ahead of other artisan and household brands!
