Our story began in 1999 as a small distribution hub for a handful of artisan producers in the Cotswolds. Back then, speciality food was still a niche market, supplied largely through local farm shops and delicatessens. We saw an opportunity to help great producers reach more retailers and make it easier for independents to access unique, high-quality products.
As the business has grown, the values that shaped it from the beginning have stayed the same. We still believe in championing great producers, supporting independent retailers and building long-term relationships based on trust.
What started as a small local business has grown into one of the UK's leading speciality and fine food wholesalers, but our purpose remains unchanged: bringing great people, great products and great businesses together.
More Than a Wholesaler
Many of the producers we work with are independent brands that you won't find on every supermarket shelf. We work closely with them, not simply as suppliers, but as partners, helping bring their products and stories to independent retailers across the UK. That partnership benefits our customers too. From tastings and promotions to product expertise and business support, we aim to help retailers discover exciting products and build successful ranges that keep customers coming back.

From the beginning, we've believed that business should be about more than profit alone.
In 2015, Cotswold Fayre became one of the first companies in the UK to achieve B Corporation certification. Today, we continue to use business as a force for good, balancing the needs of our people, customers, suppliers, communities and the environment.
We're committed to reducing our environmental impact, supporting responsible business practices throughout the supply chain and achieving our goal of reaching Net Zero by 2030.
Giving back is also an important part of who we are. In 2023, we established the Cotswold Fayre Charitable Trust to help support communities and causes close to our hearts.
