Burnside was established in 2010 and is run by husband and wife team, Steve and Margo. They brew a full range of beers from full strength to alcohol free. Based in rural Aberdeenshire, Burnside is inspired by their surroundings when crafting their beers: provenance of ingredients and natural taste profiles make Burnside beers enjoyable time and time again. 
 
Approachability is key to Burnside. Their focus on subtle, delicious tastes make Burnside beers crowd-pleasers that appeal to beer enthusiasts and casual, social drinkers alike. Tasting notes are clear on the front of the labels, to help customers easily find the perfect beer for them and the branding is used to indicate the premium, yet authentic nature of the brewery.
 
Burnside’s beer is made with the finest malt and mountain water. There are no artificial flavours, additives or preservatives and the beer is naturally vegan friendly. Each of Burnside’s beers are brewed and packaged onsite by our small team.This helps to keep their carbon footprint low and quality high.
 
Following the birth of their first child, Steve and Margo joined the demographic most likely to drink alcohol free beer: those with young children. With their increase in responsibility, their new interest in alcohol free beer inspired them to create Right to Roam. This five time award winning alcohol free IPA (including Great Taste 2023) is naturally brewed with a special yeast strain to be 0.5% ABV, so nothing is taken out (alcohol or flavour) in the brewing process.
