A Very Speciality Christmas

We are gearing up for what predicts to be a bumper Christmas for fine food sales following significant changes in consumer shopping habits.

An increasing number of consumers are ‘topping up’ their weekly, and ever more basic, supermarket shop with fine food items from convenience stores and independent retailers.

Paul Hargreaves, Chief Exec of Cotswold Fayre says: “There is no doubt that there has been a huge shift in consumer buying habits over the past year. We have seen our average orders increase by 15% year on year and we expect our Christmas orders to reflect this growth too.

We expect the shopping trend to be ever more present as the festive season approaches with consumers not only seeking out indulgent treats for themselves but also gifts for friends and family.

Paul adds: “We are seeing a huge influx of new and innovative companies that are bringing new products to the fine food market keeping it fresh and on trend. One such development is the rise of unique make-at-home kits. We have become a nation that loves to make things at home and while the likes of baking kits are still popular, consumers are seeking more innovative products.

“The Scotch Pie and Haggis Kits from The DIY Scotch Pie Company, the Cheese Making sets from The Cheese Making Shop and the Bacon Curing Kit from Ross & Ross are perfect for consumers looking for a special gift for a family member or for those who want to add an extra handmade touch to their Christmas meal.”

Help us to help you!

· Unlike our all-year-round range our Christmas Range is bought in to order, so please place your orders early.

· Some of our Christmas Products from outside the UK take up to two months to arrive – please bear in mind especially after the summer

· We have three deadlines for our suppliers to deliver stock to us based on availability and shelf-life of the products.  These are highlighted in the catalogue.  So your one order will arrive in at least three instalments.  This also helps you with your cash-flow.

· Please tell us which week you want your order(s) delivered which should match availability dates above.

· Once the order is placed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail.  If we don’t hear from you within 7 days of this order confirmation, your order is final and cannot be amended.

· All Christmas deliveries are made subject to credit accounts being up-to-date

· Some items will run out and have been ordered in by us already on a WIGIG basis (When It’s Gone IT’s Gone)

· All this can be explained more clearly by one of our Regional Account Managers who will be coming to see you.
