Cotswold Fayre continue to sponsor the Large Farm Shop of the Year award.

 

FARMA has proudly showcased the best farm retailers across the UK through the annual FARMA awards for the past 10 years. These annual awards provide an opportunity for shops, markets, butchers and restaurants to stand out against their competitors.

 

The awards themselves are not easy to win. Each entry has to progress through two stages of assessment. The first level is a review by the full judging panel to identify the applications that stand out from the crowd. The second level is a series of visits both from the judges and a secret shopping service. This rigorous process ensures that FARMA is confident that each and every winner is worthy of the trophy.

 


LARGE FARM SHOP OF THE YEAR AWARD

This award is for farm shops that have a turnover greater than £1,000,000 per annum. These businesses are truly professional shops which offer customers a diverse range of services and products. However they must show their commitment to the code of FARMA by raising, growing, making and baking in house with produce from their farm and local suppliers.

 

Large Farm Shops are often seen as figure heads of farm retailing. Each shop will work hard to source both from their own farm and also from other local suppliers.

 

With the constant turnover of customers, maintaining both these supply chains and the customer experience is a real challenge. The judges of this award will be looking to find the businesses that can maintain the supply chain integration and customer experience without dropping quality.
