SATURDAY

The best way to start a weekend is with a proper British fry-up. For me, the bacon has to be streaky and smoky so this Bacon from Grasmere Farm is a winner. Fried, poached or scrambled these Rich Yolk Eggs add great colour to the plate, but also great in a cake if you’re doing a spot of baking over the weekend. Black Pudding from The Farmers Son is a great add-on if you’re going all out, as are Potato Cakes from Mash Direct. Don’t forget to add Baked Beans, and your sauce of choice, for an epic all out weekend brunch this Bloody Mary Ketchup from Stokes is a real treat.

After all that indulgence, it’s time for a light lunch. I love a good quiche, this Roasted Tomato and Pesto one from Higgidy is great for vegetarians too. Served simply with a side of garden salad and a drizzle of Tigg’s Tomato & Chilli Dressing for a bit of a kick.

The neighbours are coming over for a BBQ tonight and we’re catering for all. The Meatless Farm Co. Sausages and Burgers are great option for vegans, veggies and even a non-suspecting meat lover. Grasmere Farm have you got you covered with their BBQ Meat Packs or try Wild & Game’s New Selection with boar, venison, pheasant and more. Stock up on Coleslaw and Bombay Potato Salad from Delphi for ease which will give you more time for entertaining and filling up glasses, Elderflower Presse works for everyone, and you can spike with Gin for a great easy summer cocktail.

SUNDAY

After all the partying, Sunday morning calls for a lie in and breakfast in bed. Cheat your way to the top with these vegan American Style Pancakes from Squeaky Bean and top with flavoured butter, try Maple Moose Butter, or Whipped Butter with Blossom Honey & Cinnamon from Posh Cow.

Still cheating my way through the weekend, these new Meat Portions from Lecale Harvest are great. My pick would be the Duck Confit, serve with Green Lentils and string beans for an authentic French meal. Follow with The Coconut Collaborative’s Chocolate Melt In The Middle Puddings for extra decadence.

I love eating my dinner early on a Sunday which means there’s time for a mini cheeseboard in front of TV. Cheshire Cheese Co.’s Black Bob Extra Mature Cheddar on top of a Peters Yard Sourdough Crispbread. Don’t forget the chutney, All You Need Red Onion Chutney is a great all-rounder.

I’m counting down to next weekend already!
