NICE RICE: it's rice, done better.
Better tasting rice: The highest quality, heritage variety Basmati sourced from a select group of farmers in Haryana, India. With a light, fluffy cooked texture and delicately nutty flavour, these elegant grains make other rice seem, well, ordinary.
Dry rice is packed in innovative 1kg recyclable cardboard cartons - complete with a spout – that *finally* makes rice easy to pour and store. The convenient ready-to-heat range includes Pure and Wholegrain Basmati, alongside bold new flavours including Chipotle and Provençal Herb.
Better for the planet: Data shows a whopping 49% reduction in the CO2-eq emissions from the NICE RICE farmers’ harvest in 2022, compared to the conventional alternative. These dramatic reductions are possible because their pioneering farmers have been following some simple but effective sustainable farming techniques since 2019. And here's the best part... cutting methane emissions is just one of the MANY benefits.
Better way of doing business: NICE RICE pay their farmers a premium for achieving the highest sustainability scores, to incentivise their long-term commitment to the cause. They invest 2% of their revenues into projects that support whole farming communities, and they’ve proudly built their business on the B Corp principles from day one to help drive positive change.
