The Punjaban story began when Gurjeet went to University and missed her home cooking so much that Charlie (Mum) sent him sauces for him to use. 

This became a regular occurrence and she began to cook a batch everyday! Little did she know that Gurjeet’s friends also got a taste for Charlie’s home cooking and he had been selling the sauce around campus for beer money!

When Charlie finally learnt the truth about Gurjeet’s entrepreneurial adventures she realised there was a demand for a more traditional sauce on the market and that is how Punjaban was born. 

Since establishing in 2010, this mother and son team has grown into one of the leading curry sauce brands in the fine food sector. Producing a range of nine sauces, 3 chutneys and 3 marinades, there really is something for everyone! 

Our products are gluten, dairy and nut free with absolutely no artificial colours or ingredients! They are made just the way Charlie would have made at home for her own family.
